A signed book with a personal dedication makes an ideal Christmas present for a child!

Algy’s first book “A Surprisingly Fluffy Bird” is ideal for children aged 7 to 10 to read for themselves, or as a bedtime story to be read to 5 and 6-year-olds.

Algy’s second book “The Tree with a Golden Heart” will be added to his shop when the paperback edition is published in December.

Books can be shipped to most countries of the world, but Algy has to charge for shipping costs as he can’t afford to pay them himself. So if you don’t want the book signed, it is likely to be cheaper to buy from Amazon or The Book Depository.

Algy’s books are in stock for immediate despatch 🙂

The weather had taken a turn for the worse, but Algy was in high spirits because his second book was very nearly ready to publish. So he fluffed up his feathers, perched on a wet rock, and sang a happy song, while the wind blew rain, hail and sleet into his face with considerable gusto…

Algy hopes that you will all be in good spirits this weekend, and will be able to sing a happy song in the face of any adverse weather conditions 🙂

Algy sat on the damp sand, and gazed far out to sea. Some days the ocean seemed very wide indeed, and he reflected that it was undoubtedly much better to be perching safely on the shore, watching the breakers roll in, than to be adrift somewhere in the middle of that vast expanse of water. He wondered how long it would be before the waves washed over his toes…

Although it was only November, there had been several winter gales over the past two weeks, and the sandy beach was already covered in seaweeds torn up from the sea bed by the storms. The rotting seaweed did not smell very nice, but Algy didn’t mind, because many of the other birds loved to forage among it.

Algy wishes his American friends good foraging today too, and a very happy Thanksgiving to all those on the far side of the ocean he is staring at 🙂

There was a respite of just one calm, bright, sunny day in a period of very stormy weather, so Algy lost no time in flying down to the sea. Even though it was November, the ocean looked very pretty in the cool sunshine, and after many dark and dreary days it seemed as though the world was full of light again…

The weather had turned very chilly, so Algy decided to fly back to the woods, where it was considerably more sheltered than on the exposed coast. In between showers of hail and sleet, there were moments of bright sunshine, and despite the brisk, northerly breeze, it was pleasant perching on a branch beside the waterfall, watching the constant stream of water tumbling down in never-ending motion.

Algy wishes you all a happy and peaceful weekend, well sheltered from cold winds xoxo
